Clementson Wayside Park

Driving though and stopped to take in some pictures along the water. Glad I did. Was shocked to see pelicans. Honestly I didn't realize they lived this far north. Very neat to see.

Nice picnic area. There is a port a potty on both sides of the falls, however both were filled to capacity and need a good cleaning and emptying.

This wayside is an absolute must-stop every time I pass through the area. Park features a great view across the Rainy River towards Ontario with a sample of Canadian Shield rock outcroppings at the mouth of the Rapid River. A scenic gem!

This is a beautiful Rapids, a rigorous rock climb for the adventurous and a gorgeous picnic site. In the Spring the water truly roars and you can watch monster sturgeon and suckers swim upstream. The pelicans happily select from this smorgasbord.

It's that time of the year. The sturgeon are spawning, the pelicans are there by the hundreds, it's a beautiful sight.
