Clarion Hotel San Angelo near Convention Center

Unsanitary room, no housekeeping, and unacceptable conditions during my son’s cancer surgery My son and I checked into the Clarion at the Convention Center in San Angelo on Thursday evening while he, an enlisted service member, underwent cancer surgery. What we experienced was shocking and unacceptable. When we entered our room, it was clearly not cleaned. There was what appeared to be a mouse dropping on my son’s bed, black hairs throughout the bedding, used and half-empty toiletry bottles, a sticky phone, dried liquid streaks on the headboard, and trash and food debris under and behind furniture. Everyone here is polite and helpful. They have a pool and hot tub indoors. The rooms are clean with nice furniture. The breakfast was good. They have recently done some remodeling and are doing more. This is an incredible value for the price. This is my second time staying here. I will stay here again. They also have a bar with live band on weekends if you're into that.

The front desk was amazing, checking in & out. The room was cold & the indoor pool was nice. We ordered food from the restaurant the night we checked, it definitely hit the spot. Great Stopover Spot in San Angelo! We recently stayed this place during a family road trip through Texas, and it was exactly what we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. The location is fantastic—nice and quiet despite being centrally located near the Concho River Walk and downtown. Parking is super easy and free, which is always a plus when you're unloading after a long drive. One of the highlights is the on-site restaurant and bar, the Arc Light Bar & Grill, right next to the lobby. It has a genuine Texas vibe with a sports bar feel—great for grabbing a burger, wings, or a drink without having to venture out. Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk was super helpful and very friendly at check in. The hotel was clean, all staff acknowledged you when walking around. The indoor pool was just perfect. Breakfast plentiful, fresh and hot. I would definitely stay here again. Negative: ""
