Citi Lodge Value Stay Motel

Very good value. This location next to the Poverello is not ideal. But it is right on the main street, and less than a mile from downtown. It's been in operation a couple of decades and is a little careworn, but that's why the rates are so reasonable. Service is excellent.

Stayed one night: July 20, 2018. Rate: $74.85 so one of the cheaper places we have stayed at on our month and half road trip.||||Tough call: I strip the beds and check all linens. All were good. Bed comfortable. Towels clean. Pillows and pillow cases and carpet clean. That part was very good.||||The issue is really the physical environ in the room: it's older..paint job on walls, outlets, windows. Ac unit is window mounted so felt a bit worried leaving the room as you could easily push this in and access the room. Single double bed...with a kitchenette...sadly very old..see pictures...sink tile all cracked...this doubles as the bathroom sink.||||Shower is somewhat dangerous I thought...it does not have a flat bottom like most or a slip mat. DON'T. JUST DON'T. A steam radiator is a source of heat in the room except you have no control over it. Our room was +75° and we ended up turning the window mounted a/c on, but that didn't work properly either and just circulated room air. The toilet didn't flush because the chain in the back of the tank broke. The shower drained so slowly i was standing in a puddle. Only privacy is a set of broken plastic blinds that are translucent! No exaggeration. The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Looks like some new paint on the walls, and new carpet and linens but sure doesn't make up for the lack of maintenance. Staff was nice at least. Will never stay here again.

There's a different name over the entrance door than the one in the parking lot. The reviews on that one (Super 7) would have scared me off. When we got into the room the carpet was lumpy and filthy but the beds seemed ok so we went to find groceries (conveniently down the street) before we really looked. As we settled in the truth became clear. The couch was very dirty and stained. There was fingernail polish on another chair and really nothing looked clean enough to sit down or take off your shoes. We couldn't get anything into the freezer because the fridge had about 3 inches of frost buildup inside, and there were dead flies in the windows. Our room was clean. We checked for bed bugs. There were no curtains on the window, only blinds which was uncomfortable being on the first floor. It's a low quality MOTEL. In the evening, we heard other customers outside complaining about the quality of their room lol. I guess some rooms are better than others. Oh and no shampoo only soap.
