Chillin on the Flat RV Park & Cabins

Spent the weekend here with my wife and had a great experience. Check in was smooth from the moment we arrived and the host stayed responsive any time we had a question. The campground is close to the interstate so it is easy to get to, but once you are on the property it stays quiet and relaxed. The sites are clearly labeled and everything looks brand new, which makes settling in a breeze. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and had that cozy feel you want on a weekend trip. We drove over to Cave Run Lake for a bit and it was only a short ride with beautiful views along the way. Back at the campground, we even saw a couple of deer walking through the trees which added to the whole peaceful vibe. Solid spot for a simple and easy weekend getaway.

We wanted a nice November hike through the Sheltowee Trail, and we found this site with full hookups, wifi, and both 30-amp and 50-amp service. The kids loved the wifi - it worked great! The site was more than enough space for our pop-up camper, very quiet, and tucked away off the beaten path near Cave Run Lake and the Sheltowee National Recreational Trail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. PS I normally don’t make reviews, but I felt compelled to this time because the last review was so abysmal—and we did not have that experience at all. -Shane

I stayed here for a weekend with my husband and it was a great little getaway. The cabin was cozy and the whole campground felt calm and quiet. Loved that it was close enough to town to grab food but still felt tucked away in pretty surroundings. Would stay again.

Do not stay here!! We had reservations with a group of friends. We drove 6 hours and when we got there, no site was available. They wanted to "make do'" with a dirt area that didn't have the proper hookups for our class a. The situation was horrible and an immense inconvenience. As it was a weekend, in October, all surrounding campgrounds were full oronly available for one night. We finally found on near Frankfort, Kentucky, over an hour away. So, we weren't able to spend time with our group. The owners of Chillin On The Flat are half baked owners and could care less if they screw you over.
