Chief Lake Lodge

Stayed next door for the week, and ate here nearly every day . Our two teenage boys had the wings several times, broasted chicken was amazing, their pizza is fantastic, our daughter enjoyed their kids chicken strips and I opted for the salad bar (they have a great basic salad/soup bar). Their Tuesday special is tacos, I had the chicken tacos which were fantastic (really, best I’ve had in years) as well. And their water is phenomenal, we all opted to have it at each meal vs the usual soda… it really is that good. Typically we don’t go back to places this often but everyone asked to go back daily, they offer enough options that no one got tired of it, and everyone left more than satisfied. I visited here in August 2025. We were warmly welcomed by Kelly (maybe, I call everyone Kelly) in that way that you have to be nice to the customers and you can tell kills them slowly each time but they continue on for the love of the game. You give them a smile and you both know that you have to fake it or you'll end up destitute down at the casino at four am with some new best friends with interesting life stories. Stopped in for a Birthday dinner while on vacation and Austin and the kitchen staff did not disappoint. Service was great, food was good, and even got a birthday surprise too!

It looks like it is under new management, and the remodel is fabulous and fresh. BEAUTIFUL view of Chief Lake. Had a bad ass Bloody Mary stuffed with creamy cheese, beef sticks, andsomr garen garnishments. Very balanced and fresh. The bartender and what looked like the manager were very friendly and prompt. And the food!!! The food was definitely cooked by someone that is well beyond fry cooked trained. I had the stuffed chicken breast with garlic mashed and it was cooked to perfection. The Broasted chicken was cooked like an old school memah from the south and JUICY. VERY WELL DONE CHEIF LAKE LODGE! The price of drinks is a little high for my book but the price of the food was worth it.

Great spot on the lake. Excellent renovations have made the dining room more spacious. Food and drinks are wonderful. Bloody Mary comes with two jumbo shrimp and Wings are huge. Excellent BLT
