We stayed here for several weeks this fall while my wife was working a travel nursing job in Portland. We are now at our second contract down in Georgia and there is nothing that even compares to this campground, so I felt obligated to go back and give my glowing review. We stayed with a 27 ft travel trailer, 2 toddlers, and a dog. The playground was so much fun, the children wanted to spend all day and night playing at it. Laundry is onsite, WiFi and cell service was good, and the owners were incredibly friendly. We had a couple packages sent from family back home and they hand delivered it to us at our site. I would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful experience!

Had a wonderful week long stay here. I was a bit hesitant given some of the negative reviews I saw, but I didn't encounter any issues with people walking through our site or people being loud. I will say we went at the end of August, so most children were probably back in school. It might be on the louder side if a lot of kids are there. The grounds are well kept, if a little cluttered. They have a really nice area in the middle for kids - swings, playhouse, boat to crawl around on, etc. There is also a pond with the option to use one of their kayaks/paddleboats, but it's so small, I didn't see much point. The store is stocked with some local goods and nice snacks at a reasonable price, and there is wood to buy for fires. They have some older showers as well as a really updated family bath

We loved our stay at Cedar Haven Campground! It’s our favorite campground so far! It’s family friendly, with so much to keep the kids entertained: toys, scooters, bikes, balls, and multiple playgrounds that kept them happily busy the whole time! They had a log cabin playhouse for the kids as well which ours loved! The gem mining station was a huge hit too! We appreciated the cute camp store and the kind and helpful staff. Every campsite was spacious and we especially enjoyed having a swinging log bench at ours! The amenities were great! This was the first time we’ve seen a dog washing station at a campground, what a great idea! And a small building full of toys for kids to play with was perfect for our rain day! It was close to Freeport and Portland, and we took day trips to Boothbay a

My husband and I have been to several RV campgrounds in Maine around Freeport . We found Cedar Haven Family Campground this year and we were totally delighted. The staff is friendly, the campground is beautiful and well kempt. The playground is fantastic, they are pet friendly and actually have a dog wash. I strongly recommend Cedar Haven. We will be going back for the 2026 season. The other RV parks pale in comparison. Good job Cedar Haven.

We stayed here in our Tiffin RV for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a great place, especially for families. But we enjoyed the safe walking and exploring the park. It’s a lot bigger than we thought it was. And it’s an easy in and out from 295. We were able to explore everywhere. We even went up to Acadia National Park. It was amazing! Thank you Maine!
