Castle in the Sand Hotel

The location is perfect!!! The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and nice! Awesome pool and I love the fact that they have a bathroom and shower outside! The breakfast buffet was really good and the waitress was so kind! I really like that the halls are enclosed and that there is no smoking inside! It was so relaxing hearing the waves during the night and waking up to an amazing view!! This is our new favorite spot!!

I can't understand all the glowing reviews for this place, perhaps they have never stayed at a hotel before? This place is right out of the 60's, run down with minimal maintenance or improvements. The only saving grace is that it's right on the beach and the cost is reasonable (which it should be considering its condition). || We stayed in one of their "cottages". I have never stayed in a more outdated or run down unit. One bedroom was so small the door couldn't open all the way. It had just one nightstand with the rooms only light on it. Forget about central air, nope, a window AC which sounded like a freight train. The living room had a couch big enough for only 2 and a chair. No coffee table, the TV was at most 20'', no curtains on any windows.||The bathroom was literall

First of all, it's a hotel for people who like to drink when they are on vacation. The happy hour at Coconuts features 2-for-1 and the bartenders break their neck to serve everyone fast enough. The trip downstairs to the restroom is enough to convince a tea-totaler that they may want to order a Bud Light.||Great bands, great option to have live music. The pool looks nice and inviting.||We stayed in the Sovereign Seas condo, as the hotel has expanded to a little compound, including houses that were built in the 1920s and this condo across the street. I had a one bedroom suite on the second floor of Castle South. The suite is accessed from the west (pool) side of the building directly into a small but sufficient bedroom. From the bedroom you open doors to access either the bathroom or the galley-style kitchen, both of which open on the far end into the living room with dining space. There's a pullout sofa bed in that room, so plenty of room... I traveled alone so I didn't need the extra room. But if several people were staying and sharing the suite, some of them in the living room, it would've been awkward to access the suite through the bedroom. Beyond the living-room is a door which opens onto the balcony, overlooking Coconuts and beyond that, the ocean. It was a lot of fun to sit out there and people watch and enjoy the live music,

Great all around hotel. Very clean well kept condition for most part, very good breakfast selections plus all u can eat Buffet options . Open still in October etc .Very good parking. select rooms on first floor if you don't stay in North part of hotel.
