Castillo Real St. Augustine Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Positive: The staff were very nice. The housekeepers were very appreciative when we left them a tip. The front desk woman was also extremely nice and the waitress as well. Negative: You cannot adjust the temperature of the room, it's locked.The front desk has to send somebody. I thought the hotel was on the beach but it's actually a short walk which was fine. The restaurant is a bit pricey. Daily,the cook was late, after 7:00 a.m.

Being able to walk to the beach and nearby restaurants makes the location perfect. It’s a great place to relax, have fun, and make memories. The corner rooms (300 and 400) are extremely spacious and absolutely worth every penny, those are the two I’ve stayed in. For anyone traveling with children, there is a microwave available downstairs in the lobby (not in the rooms). The mini fridge works very well and gets extremely cold. The pool is beautiful and very kid-friendly, especially for younger children. We’ll definitely be back.

Best thing I can say about this place was the location. Everything else needs attention. Housekeeping doesn't do their job. Room wasn't clean. Stayed 4 days and the same trash was in the hallway all 4 days. They must not vacuum but once a week. The restaurant is an absolute joke. Parking fees are outrageous. The reason we choose this hotel was because of its affiliation with Hilton. Says 3 star hotel. Not even close. Will not stay here again!

My BF and I were there during the final stages of the renovation. We were very impressed and are sure to return!||The hotel was originally built as a boutique hotel with personality and unique architecture, and recently renovated up to Hilton standards. ||The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic just outside of the historic district and 200 feet from the beach. If you are looking for beach vacation with convenient access to the historic center -look no further (*car recommended).||The rooms are clean, freshly renovated, and chic. the hallways have interesting architectural details as do the balcony railings. I am hilton member and normally I have excellent service with Hilton except for this time at this location. The issue was with Paul who is the manager there. I booked the room 2 weeks in advance and the customer service said that we could check in early. The check in is at 4. We get there and didn't get our room until after 6. None of the amenities at the pool area worked at all and Paul lied and said they did. The hot tub was ice cold the whole time we were there and Paul lied and said it was working and blamed it on the 60° weather. Also the shower had mildew and we had to clean it ourselves!! The shower also took 20 minutes to heat up. He kept telling us it would get fixed and never did. The hotel is beautiful but the management is terrible. There was also hair on our bed from the prior
