Captain Critters Country Campground

Enjoyed staying at this park. The owner is the nicest lady! Told her we have 2 dogs and were planning to stay for an extended amount of time. She made it a point to place us in a good shady spot for them. It was nice being able to talk directly with her and not a service center. The dog park was a good size and had plenty of balls to play with. The train really didn't bother us. Excellent water pressure, shade, and nice roads. Lots of updates are being made. Wish we could've stayed longer to be able to use them.

We live full time in our 35 foot motorhome and have stayed in a lot of parks in 21 states. As a full timer I am looking for location and price more than anything. We love to hike and explore neat outdoor locations. This park is just minutes from Scottsbluff monument, a beautiful 1.5 hour through Sandhills from Toadstools and Fort Robinson, 30 minutes from Chimney Rock, an hour from Carhenge (a must!) and about ten minutes from Wildcat State park. Not to mention tons of museums and Oregon trail history to check out. They have full hookups (50 amp) with generous sites and hands down the best water pressure of any park we have ever stayed at. Sue is absolutely amazing! We stayed here for a month while transitioning to a house nearby. If you want accommodating and superior customer service at a no nonsense affordable park that is absolutely pet friendly, with amazing views of the monument-look no further!!!! Highly recommend!

I know there are people that cant afford nice things but the clutter around some of the full time people that live there is beyond acceptable. The amou.t of flies that was at our camp site was very overwhelming and discusting. The only good thing about this park is they have a nice dog park. Yes the park sits beside the train tracks and is very noisy. A train goes by every 15-30 min and blows their horn . I'm choosing not to add the pic of our site due to not publicly shaming the rv that was beside us.

nice easy to find RV park near scottsbluff, sites were level, and the pet playground was fantastic for the dog! easy to find next to the highway, there were no showers or bathrooms in the park though, but i believe they were building them when we stopped by. not a big deal since we had our RV.
