Capital Hotel

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here and had a great experience. The location is a little bit sketchy and doesn’t feel the safest but we did not run into any problems. The hotel is a quick walk away from a subway station that takes you right into Manhattan which was very convenient. The room was a bit small but nothing to complain about as it served its purpose for us and we didn’t spend a lot of time in it. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Staff was very kind and provided us with more towels when requested. We didn’t ask for any maid service during our stay and kept the do not disturb on our door the entire time as I read some reviews about missing items from rooms. We didn’t have this issue at all and our room was completely untouched! Overall, I recommend this hotel

Unfortunately, I don't have many positive things to say about this hotel. That said, the bed was surprisingly excellent—very firm and comfortable. Sadly, that's about the only highlight. The room was disappointingly dirty. There was pressed gum on the floor, long black wig hairs in the sink, and caked feces on the toilet bowl—clearly indicating it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. While minor, the toilet paper was also installed backwards, which still reflects poor housekeeping standards. The room itself was much smaller than it appeared in the photos, while the bathroom was unnecessarily large—an example of poor space planning. A better layout could have halved the bathroom size and allocated more space to the sleeping area. They charge $50 for early check-in, but this fee was not d

I had a positive 4-star experience here overall. The service was a highlight, earning a solid 4 stars for being attentive and helpful. The rooms were standard and met my expectations for a comfortable stay. While the location wasn't as central as I had hoped, the quality of service made the visit worthwhile.

★☆☆☆☆ This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel charged a lot of money, but the stay was not worth the price at all. The room was not in good condition, and I even noticed bugs, which was very disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel. I truly wish I never stayed here. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable hotel.
