Candlewood Suites Wilson by IHG

The stay was good with a nice little "kitchen area." The hall way was very noisy at 1100pm. Both gals at the customer service desk were very helpful and pleasant. BUT when I received my credit card bill, I was charged $100 for "2 pillows". We did not take pillows, they were not good pillows at all. I was unable to call the main desk but did call The main IHG call line. i have disputed this charge so just beware.

Positive: Rooms Very Clean Negative: There no phone in hotel rooms, this not good because if there's an emergency you cannot dial 911! Also, shower water pressure was low.

I previously stayed here in 2020 since it was the only hotel that accepted my cat! ( I will never understand why many hotels allow 2 slobbering, barking dogs but no cats, but I digress!). It was acceptable then but, this time, it was exceptional! When I arrived, I explained to the clerk that I would need to see the room before I registered because my husband is asthmatic and some rooms exacerbate his breathing issues. The clerk was very understanding! We checked it out and it was fine so we were able to stay the night. (Unlike other hotels that have certain rooms set aside for pet families, this room did not have any trace of being a pet-friendly room!). The room offered a convenient kitchenette, very comfortable bed ( a bit too soft for me but I am sure others may love sleeping on a

The suite was clean and looked very nice but the bed frame is absurdly noisy. It appeared to be a mattress on top of a black metal frame structure with no box spring or proper platform. Every time I moved the metal sounds woke me up. Between that and the very noisy neighbors it was not the most comfortable night. The neighbors dumped trash in front of my room door while I was out picking up dinner. The best part of my stay was the friendly woman at the counter who gave some good recommendations for dinner spots.

Great spacious room with full fridge,oven,microwave and wash sink for dishes. Rooms were clean and staff were very courteous and helpful.
