Candlewood Suites Joliet Southwest by IHG

As work on the road, and try to stay in close area for sites, this place was unique. It is actually a Joint Hotel - Candlewood / Holiday Inn. The Extend Stay portion being Candlewood. Had a King Suite and was great layout, like the black out curtains as was working nights this trip. The bathroom was outstanding, plenty of hot water, like the pass thru closet area to get to. Had sitting chair with a pull up dinner tray, also the desk area was a bit small but very useable The kitchen layout like the open shelf / pantry cabinet, The ice maker was a bit tricky to start but a quick google search and no problem, had to hold the reset button underneath. Plenty of ice then. Now here is the bonus, as it is a Joint Hotel so to speak, the perks of Holiday Inn with restaurant / bar lounge / breakfa

My stay was great overall. I do wish however they would adjust the door closers so they did not slam.. especially room 127 the doors slam, and shake the entire wall. all night long. After about a month you get used to it though. The hotel did try to accommodate me and move to a different room but there was hardly ever one available on the bottom floor as I prefer.. Get food before you stay the cupboard is way overpriced.

I come to visit family often and stay at the Candlewood and the Holiday Inn here very often. I prefer the Candlewood due to the amenities and the spaciousness of the rooms. Very quiet, close to the expressway, plenty of parking, good Wi-Fi and out of the dozen times I’ve stayed here. I’ve never had an issue in any manner. |The restaurant for hamburgers are good and also the staff is always pleasant and friendly. |The rooms are always clean and and neat. Always remember Candlewood does not do daily cleanings or housekeeping due to. It’s kind of an extended stay hotel. I prefer not to have housekeeping in my room on a daily basis therefore that’s why I’d like to stay at the candlewood.|Highly suggest this location if you’re staying in the area. Ruby helped me with a smile. I had the wrong dates when I set up a room for the night on line. She was able to get me a room for the night I needed. As always rooms super clean Shilvia the cleaning Manager runs a tight shift. Nice outdoor fire pit, Did I mention super breakfast.

I stayed here since I was training practically right next door. Great gym, spotless pool, beautiful view of the pond, lots of lounge space, wonderful bar and grill, solid breakfast. The room was a full apt. Would love to stay here again.
