Candlewood Suites Grand Junction NW by IHG

Overall the hotel was clean and modern. Upon arrival, to noticed several new water heaters on pallets outside the front door. After checking in, my wife went to shower and there was no hot water! Lukewarm at best. Later that night, I went to shower and it was cold. Same thing the next day and the day after. I spoke to several other people staying at the hotel and they said the exact same thing. I spoke to staff twice about the issue and they seemed surprised and stated that I must have been trying to shower during peak usage times. They also said I was the first person to bring this to their attention. Clearly the staff knew of the issue. I clue would be the new water heaters at the entrance waiting to be installed. Amazing and kind front desk staff, always feel safe and comfortable at this hotel. We stay evertime I come in for appoitments! Have been coming here for years. Clean rooms and great sizes with kitchens!

The rooms were very spacious and beautiful they did Not have breakfast or a pool and the beds were comfy. I was Charged for incidentals two different amounts one for 42 and one for 175. I called about why they were different numbers and they said someone charged me incorrectly and it would be back on my card but again there was no money back on my card very disappointed they should know what they are doing especially if we explained why we were staying there. I had two rooms and the guy didnt give me both keys just asked if there was anyone else coming in and I said no because I was unsure about what he was referring to. But when I asked about my other room he stated oh thats why I asked if someone else was coming. I have two rooms why wouldn't he just give me both room keys ? I sure hope

Quick night stay after landing at Grand Junction Airport, and heading off to national parks. We liked that the room didn’t feel like a square or a long rectangle, but had interesting angles. Staff was quick to check us in. The water pressure was good. They gave us an extra blanket, towels, and pillow and were quick to get it to us too. We needed it! Coffee and tea in the morning were good.

Hotel is better than most in the area, better secure your belongings in your room though, thieves patrol the lot at night and look for things in truck beds. Two separate occasions and locks don’t matter to them.
