Our family and friends have camped here for years at the same spot, same loop as our children grew up. During and after Covid their way of operating has severly declined. As has their kindnes. Before booking a site online I drove out there to see if I could take a drive through the campground to see the campsites (our usual site was booked, we had 3-4 children with us and like our privacy) They told me I could NOT drive through to see the campsite layouts and had to guess which one I wanted when booking online. (The map is VERY UNhelpful and doesn't properly display/align with the actual campgound layout). I was told "You can view your site when you come to check in for it". At that point there is no time to cancel reservations or schedule new ones! I had to chose a site blindly. Upon
Myles Standish State Forest campground. Found the check in personnel at the ranger station to be rude and uncaring, almost militant. Most of the campsites are on only suitable for tents. If you know the park well there are a very few sites that will accommodate an RV. Erosion and unlevel sites a huge problem in this park. Most bathroom facilities are ancient. Floor drains don't work, toilets often malfunctioning and bathroom cleaning is occasional at best. Water available sporadically throughout the park at designated spots...if they work! No electricity available anywhere in the park Myles Standish does offer a beautiful white and pitch pine forest with paved bike trails as well as sparkling clean ponds. This could be a beautiful campground with a little bit of investment from the state o
Beautiful location, the lake is pristine and great for swimming, fishing, kayak/canoe, etc. The 30 series campsites are a little exposed - probably worth it for the view and proximity to the lake, but don't expect to feel alone there.
It was a really great experience, clean facilities and a very tranquil environment
Quiet peaceful sites beautiful surroundings s wonderful get away
