Campfire Shores

I spent a week at Campfire Shores and had an amazing vacation. Much care went into renovating the campground with attention to the whole experience; new restrooms and showers, thoughtful spaces, great people. The nature of the UP is breathtaking. The location is so convenient, with nearby Manitstique to provide additional small-town tourist fun and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore less than an hour away.

Chose this spot as it was close to all the sites and near town. Even though it's right off hwy 2, there wasn't much traffic noise. Primitive sites had nice pads, and new fire rings and tables. The eco-domes weren't finished but the owners let us peak inside. They are huge and I can't wait to book a night next time. You can tell that the owners really put a lot of work into rehabbing the campground. The brand new bathhouse is better than any I've seen. Can't wait to see what they do with the rest of the property. Got to explore some of the trails. Felt like being in Lord of the Rings. Will definitely be back. Family and pet friendly.

Beautiful campground. The bathhouse is clean, brand new, and offers private showes. The best part is they are open year-round. Winter camping in the UP is the best!

This place is SPECIAL. You can feel it as soon as you arrive. You feel at home, and at peace. The location is amazing, bathroom facilities are top notch, and the locations provides quick access to many of the UP’s most prized gems!! We cannot wait to go back!!!
