Cabana Motel

I stayed here for a week and had a great experience. To be honest, the rooms aren't very nice, but I knew what I was paying for and rate was fair. The 5-star review is for my experience with the live-in manager, Anil. He was friendly, responsible, and ethical. For context, most of Ocean City lodging is owned by absentee owners who regularly take advantage of locals and guests. While Cabana may not have been the nicest property, it was the most well-run and easy to do business with. (I've stayed at 5 different hotels / motels over the past 3 months). Would stay again.

This motel is HORRIBLE. Mold , dead flies all over, grime built up… yes it’s a “motel” but there is a standard to cleaning. I don’t expect bells and whistles but I do expect clean. The amount of filth in the room spoke volumes. We even asked the gentleman upon booking if it was clean and he assured us it’s cleaned as well as all places. WRONG… do not stay here. And the promise of a “Refundable” is bullcrap. We ended up not even staying and they refused our money back. Poor cleaning, poor rooms and even worse customer service.

I love Ocean City and this motel is right in the middle of it! The rooms are good and the motel was nice and quiet - no problems. The reason I am writing this review is because the owner/manager helped me out with switching rooms. He wound up upgrading me at no cost. That really never happens. So thanks to the Cabana Motel and the nice guy at the desk running the place!

If looking for someplace to sleep it’s an okay place. Bed was comfortable. Appeared not clean but when wiped down everything nothing had dirt residue, just old rooms that could use some major updating. The room did have a lot of mold all in the bathroom and other areas due to the AC and humidity, so if allergic to mold I’d stay away. Our room had a fridge but no microwave.
