BudgetHost Motel

There is no way to rate 0 stars. We asked for non smoking, the door had no smoking sign on the door. We went in and was immediately hit by cigarette smoke. Sheets were not clean, cigarette burns on tables and comforter. There were dead and live bugs in the bed. Room was not clean. Ended up getting a refund and driving on to our destination.

This is one of the worst "motels" I have ever used. There was NO hot water in our room; when we asked the front desk the following morning, the 'owner' said it was warm enough! He couldn't understand why it was not hot because "no one else is staying on this entire side of the motel." He offered for us to stay in another room; we HAD to stay in Gainesville so we took it. The rate each night was $69; I would have thought he might offer a discount due to the hot water issue but he did not.||Of the 6 light fixtures in the bathroom, only 3 had bulbs in them.||Overall, the room was fairly clean and quiet (after all, no one was on our "entire side of the motel"). ||I would NOT stay here again, even if it meant going to another city.

I’ve stayed at the budget hosting many times over the past four years. I have very important business in Gainesville to attend to and it is consistently been a great place for me to stay. Both the owner, VJ, and the rest of his family are great people and have always been hospitable to me with each stay.

It's goid for the price.. I just wish I knew they had a room with 2 full beds and a twin...we were 5 travelers..we could have gotten 1 room verses 2!! I know next time to ask for this room..lol

I booked through Expedia 9/1/23 it was late and we just wanted a room didn't expect much for the price. When we walked in the room we seen a bug move across the baseboard, we moved the mattress back and noticed atleast a dozen bed bugs and fecies where they have been. (terrible infestation), we noticed the Payne of glass was removed from the bathroom window so anyone could crawl in. There were a ton of sketchy ppl in the parking lot. Expedia called the manager and they refused a refund even though we had been in the room less than a few mins. We left and booked another room. The owner is horrible.
