Such an amazing staff! They always remember me and make me feel like a valued guest. Highly recommend
Fifth floor, oceanfront balcony with four great chairs. THAT was great! The rest of the Breakers experience...? Well:||Most of the front desk staff is amazing. (WAIT for it: see the exception below.) Cleaning people give it their all. They try hard, work hard and they are amazingly friendly. With an older hotel like this one with disgusting old carpet, dark hallways, torn towels and ripped up curtains, the cleaning crew can't be expected to fix everything. Stains and stray food particles in our room on the floor and the towels were impossibly disgusting.||Location here is prime real estate right on the beach, but the only response the Breakers has to this is to make sure no riff-raff gets past Floor 2 if they get into the hotel at all. Getting to the beach is via a dirty sidewalk with peop
First time staying here and we loved it. We had a boardwalk balcony suite on the 5th floor with 4 adirondack chairs. The beds were very comfortable. We had a microwave and mini fridge, lots of cabinet space for food, a table with 3 chairs. Plenty of drawer spaces to unpack clothes. As it was a suite we had a separate living area with a sofa bed and TV (there was also a TV in the bedroom area). Spacious bathroom with 2 sinks. Everything was super clean. ||We were staying here for the music festival and since the hotel is on 3rd St. it was a quick walk to the festival (no need for buses) and we could easily go back to the room during the festival when we needed to. ||The Dough Roller restaurant, on the boardwalk below the hotel, was our go-to for breakfast each morning. Stains and stray food particles in our room on the floor and the towels were impossibly disgusting. Still, beds are comfortable enough. Location here is prime real estate right on the beach, but there is nowhere to rinse your feet if you dare to go into the ocean. There is nowhere (I repeat: NO-WHERE!) to refill a water bottle or get a cup if it's 95 degrees outside and you're desperate. But... there's Julie. During the 10 minutes I was in the indoor pool,
Owner is EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. Needed help with directions because GPS was not taking us to the correct entrance and the owner yelled at us on the phone that “there are signs” and then hung up. Also the refrigerator was HOT! Plugged in, lights on, but not running or cooling anything.
