Boulder Brook

This campground is along the other access trail to Boulder Field, Keyhole, and Longs Peak from the north from Glacier Gorge. The campground is located close to a stream (Boulder Brook), which flows pretty well in the summer, if you want to replenish your water supply. This campground is not extremely popular, but it is a quiet, secluded spot in the forest below tree line.

Great campsite! We hiked up on May 27 2021 coming from Wind River campsite - lots of snow still. The water source was snow/iced over and difficult to access.

Nice quiet campsites. We were the only one there. Wilderness office staff were great and allowed my wife and I to use the group site since no one had booked it. Awesome experience!

Great impromptu alternative when the hike we were planning on was full. We parked at Sprague Lake and took the Boulder Brook trail to the Glacier Creek trail and looped back to Sprague. 9 miles, 1500 feet, far less crowded than many other options! A few Creek crossings with very stable bridges, also a few down trees we had to get around.

Great campsite. Just a bit away from the parking but if your goal is back country, then that's perfect.
