Boone's Lick Trail Inn

My husband and I found this place to be very charming! It was quaint and comfortable. The hosts had thought of everything you would need. It's located right in town. You can walk to eat and shop. ~We enjoyed our stay~

It is drafty and no extra blankets were in the room. There was a dirty rag left on the bathroom floor. For the price, I would have expected more.

My mom and I did a mother/daughter weekend in St. Charles and we were very impressed with our stay at the BLT Inn. The historic charm, location and responsiveness from owner's was impeccable! We'd definitely stay there again :)

Not sure we stayed in the same Inn as many of these reviewers have. We had a much different perspective and experience. First…not sure who Linda is that many mention. Secondly…we’ve stayed in many inns, small hotels, and bed and breakfasts so we have plenty of background on them. Even if the price was lowered, we wouldn’t return. The room we had wasn’t dirty, per se, but does need some updating, more basic amenities like surfaces for guests to put things on, repair, and attention to detail. The outside appearance doesn’t give a great first impression. Overall…the place needs more attention to detail. Simply because it’s right on the Main Street, doesn’t make up for it. Linda the Inn Keeper was kind, knowledgeable and caring. She educated up on the history of the Inn, showed up were to park in private parking, walked us to our cozy, clean pretty room. She oriented us to all the amenities. The linens were top notch. We felt at home. The King size bed was "wonderful." The building with all the rooms was very quiet. We left our car in the parking lot for our two day visit at St. Charles. We rode the "free" trolley that picked us up right outside the room and listened to all the history about St. Charles and the French district. We enjoyed the Katie trail just feet from our room and walked a bit enjoying the view of the river.
