Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles

I stayed here four nights during a business meeting in mid November 2025 and am confident that a hotel employee, potentially one who may have serviced my room during my stay, went through my personal property and made purchases with three separate debit and credit cards of mine. I accidentally left my wallet with these debit/credit cards plus my driver's license in my laptop bag in my room for the duration of my stay; I did not need these items while staying at the hotel. This wallet was in a zippered pocket inside of a zippered pocket inside of my laptop backpack (but I took my laptop each day to the conference). Very disappointing stay. Public areas aren’t taken care of, trash bins were overflowing, and the floors were dirty and clearly not maintained.There was no hot water at some point. Housekeeping was completely absent and room wasn’t cleaned during my entire stay. Overall, the lack of basic service and cleanliness made for a pretty unpleasant experience.

Ameristar Casino has a great, fast pace lively energy vibe. The room was cozy, clean, and the high-rise view was such a nice touch. Customer service was on point, and the food options were solid and convenient for a late night snack. The only downside was the bedding. It could definitely use an upgrade. Overall though, the room was dope and comfortable, and I’d stay again.

Rooms are very nice and the hotel staff was kind and professional. I was unable to check in early however. I arrived at 1:30 on a Monday and there were certainly rooms in inventory. Plenty of other things to do but this takes away a star and I may just stay across the street next time. 3 or 4 restaurants were closed and the ones that were open were clearly understaffed. The primary issue here is the places that were open were unable to take on the overflow. I’m glad we mostly ate elsewhere on the boardwalk as this takes away a star as well. I will note the assistant food and beverage manager seemed to be the only one holding these together and should probably get a raise. The place is beautiful and the dealers are knowledgeable. What a great place ! I’ve driven by it many times visiting Saint Louis . As often as we go to Vegas , had no desire to stop/ stay. I’m so glad we did . The casino didn’t bleed you dry. The standard rooms would be considered a junior sweet elsewhere. The 18th floor had an amazing view of the city and the beautiful pool ( that I wish I was prepared to use). Water nice and hot . Bed was fine . Walls didn’t seem thin the 2 nights we were there. It was a very user friendly set up. No wandering around to get to your room . No microwave and no hot food later in evening , but otherwise …. Three thumbs up if I had em .
