Bonita Beach Hotel

DO NOT book this hotel! I needed to cancel 3 days prior to arriving before the Nor’easter storm because it was getting worse and I had a disabled Vietnam Vet I was bringing to OC from 8 hours away. I contacted the property via messages, and phone call to the reservations department. They said no problem and gave me bookings.com phone number. I contacted them, they contacted the hotel I thought everything was fixed. Come to find out the hotel reservation department learned a loop hole in the system. If the booking company contacts them and the hotel fails to respond the reservation will be canceled by the booking company but that means the hotel doesn’t have to refund the pre-pay rates. Loved the hotel. Housekeeping was friendly and the front desk. Convinant for bus and eatery's near by. I will be booking again and parking was great. A little concerned about the stairway door didn't lock and safety was an issue. Otherwise roomy, comfortable no noise and balcony nice and close to ⛱️ beach.

This hotel is on 81st Street so it's very far away from everything. You definitely need a car to go anywhere. The hotels parking garage is a pain to park in the spots are tight against other vehicles and pillars. The roof to parking garage is missing tiles so it's sketchy. When we got in our room we noticed a portable AC unit that leads to the outside and is leaking down the side of the building. The balcony door is ghetto rigged with a piece of dry wall. The television goes in and out .. I feel it's very old. Our beds "top blanket" is a LEGIT CURTAIN. the hallways are super hot like a sauna...and they close the pool and arcade area early tho stated it's supposed to close at 10. Most the staff don't speak or understand English so that's an issue. Definitely not worth the amount we were ch

This is the third year in a row we have stayed at Bonita Beach during the week after Labor day. The hotel is in a great location. There is a dunkin doughnuts across the street along with Schmagel's Bagels where you can purchase breakfast. Sea Star Diner and is just a 10 minute walk and serves a great breakfast. LIttle Pancake House is also 10 minutes. Rope Walk is across the street and a great place to go for dinner and drinks. Hook is also across the street if you want upscale seafood. The beach is about a 5 minute walk. The hotel is clean and safe. It is dated but it is comfortable. The staff has always been great to us. The only issue is the halls are warm for some reason but it really doesn't matter to us since we only spent time walking to the room in them. If you want a 5 star luxur
