Blue Jay Lodge

What an awesome place! Super nice rooms. The hardwood (look?) floors are nice – warm, pet friendly and feel cleaner than carpet. All furniture is attractive and looks new. Memory foam mattess was very comfortable. The Blue Jay is also a short walk to the Gondola (~2 blocks). And perhaps the best part was how incredibly responsive and helpful the management was. There isn't always someone in the office, but they responded to messages almost immediately every time we had a question or concern.

We stayed at the Blue Jay Lodge over Valentine’s Day weekend and we are definitely planning to come back! The hotel itself is simple, but it had everything we needed. The heater worked really well (which was essential since it was snowing and very cold), the shower had hot water with great pressure, and the room was comfortable for our stay. The location is amazing! We did almost everything on foot. It’s literally a 5-minute walk to Heavenly Village, where most of the popular restaurants and bars are. We also walked to the casinos and even to snow tubing activities. It made the whole trip so much easier and more enjoyable not having to drive everywhere. Love this little place. The room was spacious, clean and well supplied. I had everything I needed including a little refrigerator and microwave and free wifi. The bed was comfortable and most of all pet friendly. My pup loved our trip. Everything is contactless and easy and the online staff is very responsive. The location is great - not on the busy main drag so it was quiet. The walls must be decently soundproof because I could not hear my neighbors. It is also walking distance to the heavenly gondola and casinos and right next door to the Basecamp brew pub where you can sit by the fire and have a beer.

We were extremely happy with our stay! We booked through Airbnb, and the hotel owners (Adventure Stay) were very helpful, professional, and communicative. Checkin was contactless, so we were able to go right into our room when we arrived. The room was beautiful, clean, and updated. It had all the amenities. My family and I were very grateful to have found this place!

This feels like a motel version of Airbnb. That's neither good nor bad, but not what I expected the first time I stayed there. There is no desk staff and the only staff I did see where clearing snow in the parking lot. I received my room access via text and the parking pass was in the binder with information. The room was good with plenty of space and a really large bathroom. It's fairly close to Heavenly Village, though be careful if there is ice. There isn't much in the way of sidewalks and what is there is slick. I have stayed before and will probably do so again. While I did enjoy staying there, it was different than most places I stay during travel.
