Blodgett Campground

A lot of nice sites but not a bathroom to be found. And it’s along road back to the heavy four wheeling area and all the trucks pulling trailers kicking up a lot of dust. The road has a lot of washboard so it beats you to death. The weekend is busy. Maybe mid week is better. Free campsites is always nice. Saw a moose

Absolutely beautiful campground! Spent 6 nights here (free) in late April and were mostly alone. Only a few established sites, no amenities, no cell service. Close to Minturn, Red Cliff, Avon, Vale. Easy parking for our van + car hauler, dirt road is bumpy but short. Very muddy. See pictured sign; motorized boats not permitted. Unfortunately, a LOT of garbage, but we cleaned up as much as we could find.

Small campground just off Hwy 24. Decent trout fishing close by. Long bumpy dirt road drive to Homestake Reservoir. Worth the drive to the end of the road and then a short hike. Beautiful views on clear summer morning.

Gorgeous site right off the Top of the Rockies National Scenic Byway. Incredible stars backed by sounds of critters chirping away at night put us right to sleep. And what a view of the mountains at dusk & in the morning! Highly recommended to all

Awesome place to camp. Great views and easy for a 20 foot trailer to fit.
