Big Bend Station

If you’re heading out toward Big Bend National Park and want a place that feels like part of the adventure instead of just a pit stop, Big Bend Station is it. We stayed in the Mission Lodge and it was downright adorable. Cozy without feeling cramped, thoughtfully decorated without trying too hard, and stocked with everything we needed after long desert days. The bed felt like a reward after hiking miles of canyon trails and dusty overlooks. 🌵✨ The location is chef’s kiss. You’re perfectly positioned for early morning park entry and just as close to local restaurants when your legs are toast and you’re craving real food. No long drives. We camped in a pop up area. It was flat and quiet. The water source was hard to use and almost underground in spit 3. The bathroom was good. Pretty clean. The shower was also OK. Wished the shower curtain was a little cleaner but again it was alright. The $2 6 min shower did its job. The water treatment (I assume what it was) to the south gave an unfavorable smell once in a while but considering the area and the the challenges of water and water disposal it was tolerable. Mainly the quiet nights, star lit sky's, very pretty sunrises and did I say location, location, location. I will be back next time through.

Great updated room. We had a wonderful stay. Perfect location to explore big bend national park and state park. Rooms were clean and all of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Loved the terlingua “ghost town” |We will definitely be back. Super cute vibes with a nice fireplace and lounge area out front. We’ve stayed here many years ago and can definitely tell from our recent stay the whole property has been updated.

You're pretty much in the desert, so remembering that Big Bend Station really is great. Clean rooms, AC, Internet, TV. Not high end but it isn't meant to be. 3 minutes from Big Bend, great food all around us and a cool, comfortable room to come back to. The Staff is super kind and very helpful!

I feel scammed. I visited the website before booking this hotel and felt pretty good about it, it looked fresh and comfortable and it's Big Bend National Park proximity was perfect. Then we arrived. Nothing in our Mission Station room matched the pictures. It was horrible. The room was pretty beat up. We can't think of anything good to say. This was night 7 of a 10 day cross country trip. We've stayed in hotel brands from Marriott and Hilton along the way, which were considerably better than this hotel, and all for less money. Shame, this place could be a gem.
