Best Western Plus Placerville Inn

The rooms are probably the best Best Western rooms I’ve ever stayed at for the basic room. Usually you need to get the suite for rooms like this. Tub was little older and gunk in drain. Room is dated, but clean and big with couch. The gym! If you need a place with a good gym stay here! This alone was worth the stay! I did have a rental EV and they charge $20 for 24 hour charge, but I think it actually ends when you a) leave or b) are fully charged. So if you have less than 40% battery, it’s worth it to charge overnight. Staff were very friendly! Forgot her name but she was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was okay, but again it’s a best western. It’ll do for quick travel and again can’t beat price.

Pros: for the king bed room: big clean room good linens, bed, fridge, tv, micro, iron, coffee pods. Nice building. They accept dogs and it smells ok there. Water pressure is just ok. Good location although you can hear traffic about, that's ok| Con: no soap bars to wash hands, face soap?? No blow dryer, wow! No normal hotel extras like lotion bottles ECT. They offer pump bottles of body wash, shampoo conditioner lotion if you want to lean over the tub to access. The front desk just doesn't answer at all to inquire about a blow dryer. I've never seen that in an my years. The front desk lady was way overworked and understaffed with a busy season of guests. It was 150$ with 40% additional for,,,, "taxes and fees" which didn't set well but that the usual I guess

Positive: "" Negative: Noisy, under construction. Room was not very clean. My daughter forgot her wedding rings next to the sink. She called about one hour after leaving the hotel and of course no cleaning person turned in the rings. Avoid this hotel.

Stayed with our dog and they had a large grassy area for dogs. Room was comfortable but it took forever to get hot water to the sink. Location was great because we were visiting family in Placerville. Safeway and Walmart close by. Free breakfast was good.

This Best Western is in serious need of a complete renovation of hallways and rooms. I actually considered how I might stay just one night instead of two, but decided to tough it out. As one of the other guests remarked to me, "It was very threadbare." Oatmeal was soupy. A big deal was made about the $30 Early Check-in fee, although I was told my room was just about ready. Needless to say, that diminished my sense of good will coming from the staff/hotel. I was looking forward to staying here and it was a huge disappointment.
