Best Western Plus Bay City Inn & Suites

Place is nasty. Room smelled very musty and looked like it hadn't had a good clean for awhile. Needed to do computer work during my stay and the room had no desk chair. Asked the front desk if they had one somewhere and just got a, "no". I ended up moving the cushioned room chair over to the desk. Before sitting in it I pulled the cushion just to be safe and there was a bunch of food wrappers, a comb and spilled makeup in there. A bunch of the breakfast amenities were broken/not available. The worst part...my LAST night there I found a nasty cockroach crawling on my suitcase.

The hotel and rooms are amazing. Beds are very comfortable and size of the rooms are huge. It was just perfect for me. I will stay again.

I reserved this accessible room from 7/3/25 - 7/7/25. Me and my mom checked in on 7/3. She is partially paralyzed of the legs. On the morning of 7/3, moved a coffee table in the sitting room to make sure that my mom can sit in the couch and discovered that a cluster of mushrooms were growing out of the floor underneath the air conditioner! I took some photos and reported the findings to the front desk, Hailey. She let me know that there was only one accessible room in the hotel and that she will find out from her manager if they could provide similar accommodations at a nearby hotel. Approximately 40 minutes later, the housekeeper saw me in the elevator and told me to go see the front desk. My room was just perfect, very comfortsble. My room was clean!! Staff was so friendly, I was given two bottle of water free for being a Gold member and did not even know I was Gold!! perfect distance to my venue too!! The breakfast was delicious! I absolutely enjoyed this visit!

Upon my arrival at 4pm there wasn't a clerk at the front desk. There was a note to use the phone on the counter and call 0. I did and it took someone at least 5 minutes to get there and check me in. The room smelled musty and like dog. It was nasty. The tub was dirty, the blanket on the one bed was old and frayed. The carpet was disgusting. I called the front desk to ask about what number a tv channel was on and she didn't know, she was going to check and call me back, which she never did. The next morning I was fixing to put my shirt on which was laid out on the other bed and there was a roach on it. I then went to pick up my luggage cube and it had a roach on it.
