Once everything started opening up during COVID, we decided to take short trips up to Ludington (8hrs from home). I am in healthcare and definitely need a break every now and again. We go up at least twice a year. We tried a couple other hotels before staying at this BW. This is now the only place we stay. We have never had any issues. They are very accommodating as we prefer a ground floor room near the front (hubby is disabled and long walks are difficult). Staff is wonderful and kind. Rooms have always been clean (I always take a small travel pillow and the housekeeper incorporates it into the bed making-it’s the small things for me). I’ve seen complaints about the breakfast- it’s free, it includes everything you need to get your day started. I’ve been to high dollar hotels an
It was perfectly clean and functional, but much noisier than I expected, both from the street and from other rooms - I guess the walls are pretty thin. Friendly service. The closet doors didn't close all the way because they weren't quite squared, which annoyed me but didn't have any functional consequence.||One point of interest is that it has a small outdoor playground, which I'm sure would be great for families with kids when the weather allows. It also has a nice sized pool and whirlpool (which unfortunately I didn't get to try out) and, unusually, a small arcade!
Positive: Pool, hot tub, Negative: No conditioner supplied, no wi-fi, although they claim there is. Gave us phone number to wi-fi provider to call and get it fixed. Not my responsibility. Rooms very small. Room had bad odor upon arrival.
Just got back from a snowy weekend in Ludington for a hockey tournament. The facility was great for the price, but what stuck out was the staff. We were there with a bunch of teenage boys, and the staff was incredibly patient, welcoming and exceeded all expectations for our families. I could not have been happier with our stay and I would 100% STAY HERE AGAIN. 10/10.
Came over from WI on the SS Badger for our 50 th wedding anniversary which was special to us.|I googled hotels near the SS Badger with a lake view and balcony knowing Ludington had great sunsets on Lake Michigan. Best Western Tradewinds was documented to have the most beautiful views on the internet! Well, there are no views except a car wash and tall grass! Plus, it’s a long ways from the lake about 10 minutes!|One thing I can say was that check-in was quick. They had addressed my requests for a Walk In Shower room, but didn’t say anything about my balcony room sunset view request! Rooms were clean. Bathroom was tight! Toilet is right up against the vanity and the toilet paper roll is out of reach! You can’t shut the door until you get to the side of the doorway and toilet. Went
