Customer Reviews
This is an old, smelly place. Quite dissapointed to be stuck here after checking in. I may never stay at a Best Western again if the bar is this low. This is at best a Motel 6. Cons - everything in thr room is dated. Furniture must be at least 60+ years old. I bet it was a great hotel in 1950s and 1960s. - Carpet is beyond used up such that paterns are dark and unrecognizable - You can feel the springs of the mattress - smells galore... - walls have paint bubbles - Bath towels are small and thin. - There is no ventilation in the room. I turned the AC on for some fresh air and it made the smells worse. Pro: The employee at the front desk was humble and helpful.
Definitely a budget option. Cons: - bad wifi - frontdesk not fully staffed 24h. past a certain point, you need to buzz them, and one time the staff was doing something else.. - keycard gets easily demagnetized from airpods case - didn't put any toothbrush/toothpaste in my first night and i had to go to 7/11 to buy my own Pros: - room was clean and quiet - breakfast was good
Positive: The breakfast!LocationAnd it was quiet 🤫 Negative: ""
We were disappointed to find out that this Best Western was an older motel with BW branding. It had all the issues with motels: shabby furniture and carpeting (you couldn't even see the original pattern in the soiled traffic areas), thin walls and ceiling so you heard conversations and footsteps clearly, bright lights through the shades all night, and horns from the nearby train tracks. We booked this place because of the fridge and microwave in the room, but the fridge didn't even work that well. The pros were that the breakfast was good and the pool looked well cared for. Staff was helpful and attentive. It was also walking distance to some great restaurants, like Burma Spice and Noelani's. For the price, we will stay at a Marriott or something like that if we go to the area again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was there for medical reasons and had to keep extending my stay and they made it so easy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is a bonus clean and sparkling. We stay here every time we come to San Francisco/Redwood City.
