Best Western Holiday Lodge

I've stayed here a couple of times over the past two years, and its a great hotel for the price you pay for. The rooms are comfortable and clean, albeit somewhat dated in their decor. Plenty of amenities are offered here, including laundry, an indoor gym, indoor pool, and free breakfast. On top of that, the hotel has a Bennigans attached to it, and if you're staying here, you'll get 10% off if you show them your room card. Plus, your hotel room that you book comes with a coupon for them as well, however the coupon for them will vary depending on which room you end up booking. If you're looking for a budget friendly hotel with plenty of amenities, I highly recommend staying here.

Our experience at this Best Western was extremely disappointing and unlike anything we’ve encountered in over 10 years of traveling with youth hockey teams.||Our three hockey teams blocked off more than 30 rooms and also booked a conference room to celebrate a player’s birthday with pizza and cake. We were explicitly told we could not use the conference room unless we purchased food from their attached restaurant, so we complied and spent nearly $450 on pizza and breadsticks.||While the kids were eating, they were playing knee hockey inside the conference room with all doors closed, fully contained and supervised. Suddenly, an employee burst into the room and launched into a very theatrical and aggressive outburst, screaming at a group of over 50 people. He yelled that we were not allowed

Positive: The price. Negative: Being separated from the main building. If you book a double queen they are all in a separate building. It is connected to the main building by a tunnel if you don't want to drive over to use the pool or get breakfast.

EDIT TO ADD: The aggressive and inexcusable behavior displayed by your General Manager is completely unacceptable. His level of hostility caused my son to experience a panic attack. No policy—regardless of its wording—justifies that level of unprofessional conduct, especially toward children. If carry-in beverages were truly prohibited, then why was the restaurant not properly staffed or a bar available for our group to purchase drinks during our time in the conference room? Your facility clearly did not have the staffing or capacity to accommodate a group of our size. Had we been allowed to continue our pizza party in the conference room with the very EXPENSIVE PIZZA we purchased directly from you, all children would have remained contained, supervised, and calm—rather than being subjec

This place is a complete dump. It smells like mold and stale basement. The fire detector was hanging off the wall, water leaking in the hallway ceiling, and the lady manager was nasty and rude. Beware. A total dump. EDIT: I want to be very clear: my original review was posted before the incident that management later chose to respond to. Their response does not address the actual conditions of this hotel, which remain unacceptable and misleading based on how the property is marketed online. This hotel is in extremely poor condition.
