Best Budget Inn Sandusky

Helpful, friendly front desk staff. (Here for a day event/ meeting, not to stay over.)

This place is gross. The "non-smoking" room smelled like a wet ash tray. I informed front desk, they said I should change my pillow cases? No help. Dropped remote on the floor between the bed and night stand, picked it up and had cigarette ashes all over the remote and my fingers (I'm allergic). I demanded a room change at this point. The front desk attendants look like they are actually allergic to water and soap. And they have a really poor attitude overall. The wifi is atrocious. Disconnected every fifteen minutes. Couldn't get any work done (I work remotely). Their only "saving grace" was the price.

I had booked a room here because my original plans fell through and everything around was booked. I pulled in and my whole crew said " I'm not staying here" refused to get out of the car. I (we) never made it inside. They pool was filled with rocks! No cars, i mean literally no cars in parking lot. Not to mention your view is a cemetery! I was lucky enough to get the one last room across the street! I would never stay here even if my life depended on it. I called and cancelled the room. The pictures on the website make this place look amazing compared to the truth.

My sister & I decided to come visit Cedar Point from Chicago & I wanted to go the cheaper route with hotel accommodations. The drive took a bit longer than expected so I called & left a message just to be courteous that I'd be checking in later than expected & when I didn't get a call back in several hours I decided to call again... The lady said they never check their answering machine! 🤔 Although everything seemed clean inside of the actual room the lobby & stairs looked like they needed a bit of love. There was a crazy storm with heavy rains & to my dismay it started leaking in our room. Moving all of our stuff was a bit inconvenient - but at least the room we moved into was a little nicer. Next time I'm definitely not going to be returning here..

I give 1 star I would of given no stars but the guy at the front desk was kind but the RM I was in had a lot of bed bugs me n my boys got bit it's sad when ur boys sleep on the floor an not the bed an myself had to sleep in the bathtub
