Bella Vista Suites

So listen, not gonna lie, I would stay here again but let me set some expectations for some folks because this is definitely not the place for everyone. I would come here with my friends but not necessarily my family. This is where you come for a nice big room, for hot tub and sauna and pool where the curfew doesn’t matter and for the good location. This is a family run hotel that clearly needs some work done but the owner is cheap. The rules are relaxed which my large group of people very much enjoyed and it seems like you can throw events here because there was a party going at the bar until late. But again, expectations. The lobby was dark and the fountain wasn’t running. The rooms were ok but not that clean, especially the bathrooms. Furniture seems updated except for the sofa bed which was so so bad. You could feel the coils with your hands! Air conditioning was noisy and not very cold. The second bedroom didn’t have its own unit so it was warm in there. Pool, hot tub and sauna were operational but it smelled musty in there. They do not answer the phone so we had to walk down to ask for an extra blanket. Great location and free parking and great view of the lake but not worth $400/night.

Positive: Hotel had large rooms that were very well maintained . Negative: No mats or grab bars in the shower.

This hotel is an absolute mess and honestly one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. I don’t even know where to start because everything is wrong at the same time. First of all, the swimming pool – just look at it. The water is green, not slightly tinted, but straight-up green like algae soup. This is NOT a therapeutic pool, not mineral, not anything special. It’s just dirty. Seeing this and realizing guests are supposed to swim in it is shocking and honestly disgusting. Now the rooms. Completely neglected. Dirty, poorly cleaned, and smelling bad, like old dampness and chemicals mixed together. You walk in and immediately regret it. We booked 3 nights at Bella Vista but only were able to sleep for 2 of those nights because one of the beds in our suite was completely broken and impossible to sleep on. We had 3 in our party and booked a suite with a king bed and a hide-a-bed. The hide-a-bed had a broken frame and no mattress support, so the sleeper's feet were on the floor with their butt in a sink hole in the middle of the bed! The mattress had an old plastic bag with tape on it in place of a real mattress cover. The next day, Management was indifferent to the ridiculous accommodation we had been given and offered NO COMPENSATION for our inconvenience and lost sleep on the 1st day of our trip. Plus, they said our reservation was NOT REFUNDABLE so we couldn't move to a better hotel. They wanted an extra $227 for the nex
