Bed & Breakfast On Broadway

We had a wonderful time here for a girls weekend! Scenic, plenty to do and the house is absolutely beautiful. Melissa is a wonderful host and her breakfasts were amazing. We were also fortunate enough to see Burning Bright, the annual holiday concert and it was so fun. 10/10

We were disappointed by our experience. The house and room are nice and location is great. No access to back yard and garden only the front porch. We did not expect hosts to entertain us, but introducing themselves as they encounter us might be nice? Separate encounters with wife and husband and neither said their name, welcomed us nor asked how anything was so far. Advertised refreshments were cheese/crackers and 2 pale ales (on a couple cubes of icee)and bottle of red wine (neither of which we drink). We just thought a pitcher of water or something might be nice as alternative. Breakfast was tasty, but pretty late in the day (9am-10am) for an early riser and don't rely on the coffee (weak). We had a wonderful stay here this past weekend. We stayed in the inspiration suite and loved it. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and sauna shower. We sat under the witches hat each morning in the turret and enjoyed our coffee. The whole place is so tastefully decorated and well taken care of. There were light refreshments each evening and a healthy home cooked breakfast each morning. Everything was delicious. We also loved the location. It was very close so you could walk uptown and get a bite to eat or do some shopping, yet it was very quiet spot.

If you've ever driven by a beautiful, old, well-kept house in a neighborhood of amazing Victorian gems, and wondered, 'what must it be like inside', and then you were actually able to go inside because it happened to be the Bed and Breakfast where you had reserved a room... well... what a lovely treat to be welcomed into the 'home' of Melissa, Mathew and Axel! 'Bed & Breakfast on Broadway' will feel like 'home'! Our four day stay checked all the boxes, lovely hosts, well-appointed room, delicious breakfast, convenient location (pleasant, doable walking distances to downtown Decorah and hiking trails). We could not have asked for more. Return worthy!? Absolutely!

Our stay was perfect! We had three beautiful rooms for the six of us. Before strolling downtown, we enjoyed the cheese, crackers and wine our hosts had prepared for us in the lovely sitting room. I had requested a birthday cake for our group. A lovely and delicious chocolate tort and birthday card were waiting in the dining room for us. The breakfasts were fresh, healthy and so tasty and filling. Every room had a unique feature that we enjoyed:the jetted tub, the balcony, the cozy bedding and charming antique photos. The location allowed us to explore the downtown easily. I scored big points by finding this amazing Bed and Breakfast on Broadway in Decorah, Iowa.
