Beacon Inn

A lovely vintage stay in Boston! The hotel is an old historic house full of charm and character, located in a very pleasant neighborhood close to the public transportation, which made getting around the city extremely easy. The attention to detail is impressive — high-quality wooden furniture, beautiful wooden floors, and even a carved fireplace that adds a truly unique atmosphere. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Everything felt thoughtfully preserved and authentically vintage. It’s rare to find a place in the U.S. with such a genuine old-world style and care for details. I absolutely loved the experience and would happily stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay in this traditional brownstone. Clean, spacious room with lots of traditional features. Friendly and helpful team. Great location, the greenline stops right outside and there is a good selection of cafes/bars restaurants in the neighbourhood. They dont serve breakfast however there is an area in reception stocked with complimentary cereals, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee etc to keep you going. The front door is locked after a certain time so if arriving out of hours you must contact them so they can talk you through the self check in- otherwise you won't be able to get in.

We planned a short stay at The Beacon to do a tour at BU. Our experience here was nothing short of spectacular! Julie and staff made our stay feel so special- we felt seen and welcomed! They took their time to chat and get to know a little bit about us☺️ The building is old and gorgeous. Our room was so pretty and clean. Our housekeeper was very attentive in making sure everything was as it should be. So appreciative of her! The Beacon offers a small breakfast options: coffee, tea, granola bar, bagels, muffins, oatmeal and cereal. It was great! I can’t wait to come back with my hubby and son since this was a mother daughter trip. They will love it as much as we did!!! Thank you, Julie and staff for making our stay so memorable!!!

This was such a lovely place and such amazing staff!! The building is just beautiful - an old traditional Boston brownstone built in the late 1800s I think - maybe early 1900s, either way, so much charm. The TV was great, spacious rooms, delicious coffee (kurig in the lobby but really good quality :)). The housekeeping and receptionist were so helpful and so friendly. They put out lovely pastries and bagels in the morning, and have a basket of snacks always available - what a nice surprise. This place was SO clean also and the bed was super comfy. I will stay here again, no question. Great location, safe neighborhood. One thing I will say is you do hear the train, but it added to my Boston experience :)
