Bayshore Inn

I stayed at the Bayshore Inn on February 4, 2026 and let me tell you this place is phenomenal. The price for value exceeds expectations. The gentleman who runs it is literally one of the coolest realist straight up guys. You can ever meet no hes nonsense, fair, by the book, friendly, courteous, helpful, and also doesn’t take crap from anyone. He runs a tight ship and It reflects in how well the grounds are kept as well as the rooms. The rooms are spacious up-to-date the showers are great. Lighting is perfect, I stayed in one with the kitchen. It was awesome. The AC was ice cold or if you need heat it’s will be nice and toasty in mo time, and the TV has plenty of cable channels to surf. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the Ventura area, stop by say hi & bump fists with the Gentlem

This is among the 5 worst places I've ever stayed over my 40 years of travelling. In its favor, it was clean and the bed was comfortable---I actually got a good night's sleep considering my disgust about the room. But there is a total lack of maintenance or pride in ownership. I met the owner and he was very sweet. But (1) the lightbulb in the beside lamp had been painted black. I did get a new bulb (2) no smoke alarm (3) missing plate over plug (4) GFI plug in bath did not work (5) bed made poorly (top sheet was used as a bottom sheet) (6) screens missing in two windows. (5) room smelled badly, like old smoke and mustiness. Had to open all windows to air out room. Etc, etc. Fortunately it was one night. I was on a low budget and it was a Saturday night, and they did not require a

Positive: Leaving Negative: The hotel was infested with cockroaches. I was moved to two different rooms both of which were gross and full of roaches did not stay had to get a new room

Incredibly kind staff. Reduced our price for a two bedroom after we showed them a lower rate we found online. Very clean rooms as well. Will definitely stay here again if we return!

Best all around experience anywhere near the price in this area. What you’ll immediately realize is that you’re in good hands with a host that cares about his clients. Mr. Mayur Patel is one of a kind and staying here for our night stop on our road trip proved to be a great decision! Rooms are well maintained and our king room had a nice sized bathroom and comfortable bed. We’ll be staying here next time for sure!
