Baymont by Wyndham Wichita East

The location seem to be in a safe area. The hotel itself seemed a bit rundown. I had a few issues that weren’t a problem for me, but we’re worth noting. Maintenance neglect ,one thing I did have to accommodate was the handheld shower had no way to mount the showerhead on the wall and it wasn’t repaired by the hotel so I had to zip tie the showerhead to the rail. Also, when I got to the room, I couldn’t find the remote for the TV so I didn’t get to watch any TV while I was there, but that wasn’t a problem. The Wi-Fi signal was a little weak, but it worked. I was pleasantly surprised with the otherwise condition of the room and the fact that it was apartment style suite. We stayed here for one night in a 2-bedroom suite. It's an okay hotel, it just needs updating (new carpeting, paint, fix broken kitchen items, new heaters). The heaters were our biggest problems. They stayed on all the time. If they weren't blowing warm air, they were blowing cool air. Having cool air blown on you while sleeping is not good. Heater in one bedroom never heated to the correct temperature (warmer than desired). We like the heater types that heat the room and then shut off until needed again. The hotel is in a nice area of town but unless it is updated, we probably won't stay here again.

Positive: Very spacious, pretty clean and well equipped with kitchen utensils, plates and cups. They even had complimentary water bottles. I believe they were changing out old mattresses as I saw several old ones in the hallways. Negative: The old peeling cabinets and drawers, but they were clean.

recently stayed here with my wife. Price was fair, room was nice. Lady at the front desk carley was very nice and helpful! She recommended good places to eat at and was very kind the second we came in. She made check in easy and didnt make us feel rushed. We do a lot of traveling since i am a truck driver and overall enjoyed our experience there. we will be back when we come through wichita again.

Pleasantly surprised by such a nice updated room very clean beds seam like they are new😀we are here for a basketball tournament so far so good, I was reading some of the reviews on the way here and started to worry 🤪 but wanted to post this so others will know and not worry like I did.... We are going to be here for 4 or 5 days..... The only thing (it's minor to me) is either the touch up paint they used is darker than the tan color of the wall or is it may be the paint job itself has a few missed spots when trying to cover up a darker color on the tan sections of the wall
