Baymont by Wyndham Tehachapi

Rooms are modern, clean and well laid out. Breakfast is very poor, both in quality and selection. There is essentially nothing there I could eat. For dinner, there is an exceptional Indian restaurant just across the breezeway from the hotel. The pet policy is reasonable, in that only certain rooms with two queens are pet friendly. But this was clear when making reservations on Expedia.

Our short stay was very comfortable. Our front desk manager Cynthia was so helpful and polite. She went above and beyond to help us with extra pillows and information. Would rate 5 stars if there was a hot tub.

Positive: It was clean, it was quiet, the beds were great, everything worked well. A great stop over on the way home on a long trip. The location was perfect for us as well. Negative: The hot breakfast could use a little bit of work. The waffle maker was very old and needed replacement. There were no hot and readily prepared eggs or sausages or anything like that.

Always a good experience, clean room, Myra, Alma & Cynthia very nice and helpful. A great place to stop half to Las Vegas and rest. Was disappointed to see the Christmas lights on the columns in the lobby were half lit. Just makes it look like “who cares” Someone needs to make an effort to fix .

I am writing this with some disappointment. We use the Baymont a lot on road trips we take through the year because they are pet friendly and good value for a night’s stay on long roadtrips. The issue I have is their corporate policy when you have to change the dates on a reservation. We had case come up on a long distance trip. My wife made a mistake on the dates that we had to adjust. It simply involved moving the date to the following day. They would not allow it, kept our money and we were forced then to buy a second night’s stay. I have been traveling most of my life both domestically and internationally for over 40 years and have never had this happen. I understand the policy on non refundable reservations but have never experienced where some portion of the money paid for that reser
