Baymont by Wyndham Fort Myers Airport

AVOID. RUN. Place was disgusting. Shame on you for charging $200 a night. The room was disgusting and the shower rod was barely affixed to the wall. The room was not clean and was falling apart. The bed frame corner was partially broken, the shower rod was held together with a zip tie and coming out of the wall and there was clearly someone else’s hair literally everywhere in the bathroom and general areas- the curtains were all ripped. I had work meetings all day and did the best I could and slept in my clothes. I travel often - everywhere and have stayed in some “unique” hotels but this was just pure NEGLECT and for the PRICE- are you serious?

Positive: The desk staff was very sweet and helpful. Negative: The hotel has definitely been hurricane ridden. The door jams were swollen from moisture and barely opened or closed. The fixtures in the room were rusting and we had mold on lampshades and in bathroom. The room smelled like rotten wood and plaster.

This place could definitely use a coat of paint and some drywall. When checking in the receptionist was having issue's with the computer. Don't expect a hot shower as the water in room 327 only got luke warm. Compiled with no working telephone service internal or external. Did not make for a very productive business stay.

The front desk guy couldn’t speak English. Than at 9pm he barged into my room. Didn’t knock or anything just unlocked the door and came inside the room demanding my Drivers license. Even though he checked me in an hour before. He assigned me this room himself Mind you he was the one who assigned me the room wrote it on the card slip than he came 10 minutes after giving me the room cause he forgot to have me sign. So he personally walked to my room and knocked on the door for me to come back and sign. So how are his mistakes my fault. Than when I go to the front he makes a copy of my id and says oh I booked you in the wrong room. How can it be wrong when they are the ones that pick which room you stay in when you get there. No apologies or nothing. That’s crazy. Who just barges in without k

2 things a motel needs to get right, comfy bed and clean bathroom for scrubbing off travel and this hotel misses on both. Mold in shower, unpainted patches in walls, lumpy worn pillows and thread bare linen. Traveled with wife and daughter for business and they wouldn't shower without putting down a towel in tub, I'm ex army, harmony church ft. Benning and it was an upgrade to that. If you know, you know. Staff was fine, just an overnight stay so changing room wasn't an option/ full. Won't stay here again. Maybe I won't try another in this chain. Very disappointing.
