Baymont by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

This hotel was convenient for our quick overnight trip. We traveled 4 states in 4 days to pick up our new RV so parking at this hotel was appreciated. King suite was comfortable since we were spending New Years Day there. Clean room, comfortable bed and nice start breakfast. Kayla was awesome at check-in and check-out. Hotel is pet friendly so that was great!

Our stay at this hotel was okay ... the room was clean and comfortable. I especially liked the amenities available in the room, except that the coffee maker did not work. The breakfast, however, was nothing to brag about. It was the same every day for one thing. The scrambled eggs were spongy and flavorless, and we wondered if the meat patties were actually made of meat. But, the staff was friendly.

Room was very musty smelling. I had to go up the road to Walmart and buy room spray just to be able to bear staying in the room. Recliner chair had stains all over it and all the furniture was extremely outdated. I would not stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. While the room cleanliness was decent—about a 7 out of 10—the door card reader never worked properly, which was frustrating. The breakfast was a major letdown: the eggs and sausage were served from crockpots and were pretty unappetizing, the bagels and toast were stale, and the cereal was off-brand despite being in branded containers. The coffee was weak and tasted off, and the juices tasted like tap water. Additionally, the front desk staff ( black woman and middle Eastern man working the night shift)was consistently rude, making simple requests feel like an inconvenience. Overall, it was a disappointing stay, and I would not recommend it.

I stayed here for 10 days and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Cleaning staff took out the old wet towels and trash daily, and I didn’t ask for that. It was clean and well put together enough in the common areas and the room I was in. Location is on the drag with a dozen other hotels. Right off the highway. There’s fast food, couple restaurants and convenience stores right there. About 2 miles away is a strip with everything and the road in front of the hotel takes you right there. I don’t do the free hotel breakfast, but they had all that in the morning. Multiple breakfast options you can walk to though. Interesting neighborhood and characters to people watch. I saw nothing dangerous going on, just weird people wandering around. Looked like door to my bathroom had clea
