Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA

Staff is nice, sites are decent size for tent camping. Fire pits are nice and big and plenty of places just outside the campground to find cheaper wood. Bathrooms were not very well kept. They really should add a screen door to them so they aren't full of bees. Showers were in even worse shape. Of all the KOA I have been to, these were the worst. Nice location to get around Bar Harbor and Acadia. Only giving 2 starts because of restrooms and showers.

Beautiful campground! We’ve been a couple times and have stayed at one of the tent sites. They have sites that are more open for groups of people, but they also have sites with trees around them for more privacy. They bathrooms are fantastic. They have showers and toilets and everything is always so clean. It is a little bit of a drive to get to Acadia National Park, but it’s also cheaper than other campgrounds. Definitely recommend this campground!

Beautiful location extremely easy to find. The bus service easy to use, the staff was helpful and friendly. Great place to stay. Lobster dinners available inside the campground in the evenings. This is the better of the two KOA's on the island to stay, probably because of the view. No pool on this portion need to go to the other KOA but easily done via the bus or driving. I did drop the facilities a little only due to the fact that the showers are very small. Free and good hot water but I am pretty big and it was a little close for me. The bathrooms were clean. Overall a great place to stay.

Of the 8 KOA campgrounds we've stayed at, since June 2017, this is by far our favorite! All of the sites are nestled in the woods, so you're not out in the open sun roasting. The sites are very spacious, meaning you're not right up against your neighbor. The bathroom/shower rooms are also spacious and are kept clean daily. The staff here are friendly, helpful and so much fun. They really are an enthusiastic group when doing activities for the kids. Whether we were out and about sight-seeing or just hanging out in front of a fire making smores our time spent in Bar Harbor was amazing! ! Thank you Woodlands for a fantastic time! !

Highly recommended, site was clean, staff was helpful and polite. They have a very handy general store, with reasonable prices. Pool was clean and heated. They had a few activities for kids some nights, which was nice. If your staying in late August, I’d bring some strong bug spray, the mosquitoes are intense.
