Badlands Inn & Suites

The window in our room faces a storage area. The lights were on all night and the air conditioner is blowing the curtains up so the room is lit up. Couldn't sleep so I went to the front desk to ask the owner himself if it was possible to turn the lights on since it's a storage area and explained that it was too much light. His response is to get our luggage and get out of his hotel at 11 pm . He didn't care whether you sleep or not. There's also mold around the shower. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could him a zero I would.

Don’t do it. Cheap for sure but lacking greatly in other areas. Hotel lobby is gross. Common areas in public view used as storage (mattress in hallway). Hallways and rooms are no better. Parking lot had lots of trash as well. Shower curtain was torn and hanging. Questionable stains and spots on the bedding. Towels feel like pool towels. Had to go ask for TV remote in which the one they gave us had no batteries in it. Forgot my key at family house and had to wait 10 minutes while staff drove to the hotel, only to be told “you shouldn’t have left your key” rudely. They do not have staff on site at all times. Trucks back into parking spaces outside and run their trucks causing the room to smell like diesel exhaust. Family owned hotel and it’s not taken care of. Spend a bit more and go to a d

Checked in your hotel and was given room 141, upon entry it was noticed that the door plate was broken as well as no safety bar. The door plate stuck causing the door to not close. There was also a piece of poop, human or animal, not sure, on the floor of the room. I went to the front desk, where I had to call someone to meet me there. The woman was rude and not understanding or caring about the rooms lack of safety or cleanliness. She gave me a new room, 148. This room was better with a proper locking and functioning door, however the room smelled horrible and the carpet is disgusting, bare feet stick to the floor😑. I attempted to speak with someone but called and waited several minutes, no one came. This, to me, is not acceptable business practices. I will never be returning to your est

It's been a long day and I needed to get some sleep. I checked in and parked my truck. When I went to the room I was instantaneously hit with a really bad odor of musty mold smell. I'm allergic to mold and it was so bad that I am still having a hard time catching my breath. And that's after multiple doses of albutraul. I should of just turned around and left when I walked in the lobby and it smelled like 1000 lbs of sweaty onions and alot of disarray in the lobby. But my tiredness didn't let me. And I hope no one like me stays here and gets sick.
