We made reservations through VRBO. We searched for two bedroom, two bathroom, pet friendly for two couples. There were no outside pictures and no mention that it was a renovated motel. We knew one bedroom was twin beds but did not realize they were short and encased in plastic covers. Very uncomfortable for adults. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very tiny. None of our rooms looked like these pictures.

Our room was cutely decorated and newly renovated. The owners are very friendly and are easy to work with. I had some concerns due to Covid, and I felt assured that that the rooms were clean and the contactless check in was perfect. I enjoyed not having to walk through a lobby and having my own direct access to my room. Close to downtown which was nice.

Very clean, impeccably decorated, walking distance to everything, but...room #2 was way too small even for small people like us, a larger person could not even get into the bathroom and definitely not the shower My husband hit both his shins on the platform bed, not enough places for your items , no sugar or creamer for coffee. Staff was helpful but because of covid-19 every conversation was done by phone. I would suggest if you stay here, get the larger room, we have stayed here many times over the years and enjoyed our stay.

Revised Review (4/28/22): This Motel has since changed owners. Reservations are much more expensive and include other fees such as booking and cleaning fees. Additionally, they offer limited cancellation flexibility. Very sad this gem has changed it truly was the best place to stay in Ludington. Review Date 6/5/2019: Best place I have stayed at In Ludington! If I could give 10stars I would give 20. Amazingly clean, spacious, super cute and cozy rooms! I have stayed in a few of the local hotel/motels previously and the Avenue is by far the place to be! Rented two rooms for a fishing trip and planned to check out early at 5am, Tim the manager was overly accommodating! The man woke and opened the office and made coffee to get our day started at 4am! THANK YOU AGAIN TIM!! I feel like I hav

This motel is adorable. It's family owned and it's obvious they take pride in it. We stayed in room 1. Decorated beautifully and so clean. The bed was the most comfortable I ever slept in! They had just bought new queen beds for rooms 1 and 2. I would love to stay here again.
