Avalon Inn

The hotel is very close to Cedar Point. I think although in need of work that they are cleaner than the other motels in the area and NO bugs! We stayed for two nights thanks to some help from the manager because we had initially only booked one. The manager and the owner both came across as genuinely nice and that's not as common these days. You should know when you rent a budget hotel what you are getting and this is a budget hotel. I didn't take off stars for that. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 is the lack of a microwave and my daughter had trouble because of the firmness of the beds. The full fridge was an unexpected surprise. Overall if you need a budget hotel or a last minute stay, this is probably the better one even though they don't do breakfast just snacks. We stayed here for Labor Day weekend and at first ran into some trouble with them mixing up our dates. But they fixed it quickly and we got checked in smoothly. The room was nice and quiet and exactly what we needed after our trip at cedar point.

Our stay here was pleasant due to its affordability and proximity to the amusement park. The owner demonstrated exceptional hospitality. Although I utilized their laundry facilities after a visit to the water park, the washer performed adequately while the dryer was unsatisfactory. Despite spending $5, with $1 per load, my clothes remained damp. My family enjoyed the pool, but caution is advised as broken glass posed a hazard, unfortunately cutting short my child's enjoyment. Overall, our accommodation was comfortable, with decent and clean rooms. This establishment may not suit those seeking luxury. I definitely recommend this place.

Cost friendly place to stay at Cedar point! Definitely old rooms so prepare yourself, but it's what we needed (a bed to sleep in near Cedar pt). Staff were friendly, and AC/shower/beds were all good. If you are cutting costs and don't mind an older place, we had a pleasant stay.

This hotel is a great location to go to Cedar Point. It has the advantage of being cheap and it's old overall, but at least the bed was clean. Breakfast is no worth to ear. It was just very small doughnuts and coffee, but they were so cheap, there were no tongs, and the toilet paper was messy. Please don't eat. Wi-Fi works well in the lobby, but hardly in the room. I couldn't use it. Anyway the room was okay to stay. I hope they do a little bit of remodeling.
