At Home Express Tangerine Inn

I had a great experience at the Tangerine INN. It's an older motel but for $89.00 in this area I think it's a bargain. The staff "Cliff" was very helpful and took good care of me. I got a great night's sleep and I was very pleased. I had to haul horses the next morning from New Smyrna to Virginia and Cliff knocked on my door in the morning to make sure that I was up. The next day after my 700-mile trip Cliff called me to make sure that I got back home safely. I have been staying in the big brand hotels for over 40 years and never received a follow up call to check on me. If you want fancy in this area then be prepared to spend upwards of $250.00 per night. I was very pleased overall and give the Tangerine a 4.5, great value for the money.

Very dirty. Not cleaned. Pubic hairs in toilet. Pee all over bottom of toilet. Big and little roaches. The man on site is a drunk. Asked me to buy him beer 2 x. Talked to me like a dog this morning

The accommodations at this property were uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The pillows and mattress were poor quality. Overall, the room was simply uninviting and unpleasant. In addition, the front desk is frequently unmanned with no one in sight if you need information or service. At $89 for the night it was definitely overpriced. We left by 6:30 in the morning because we had had more than enough of the Tangerine Inn experience. We will not return.

Not a bad place to stay at all. The rooms are a bit spartan. The room with the kitchenette is surprisingly large. If you like soft mattresses, this is not the place for you! I really prefer a firm mattress myself, and the beds here are seriously the firmest I have ever felt. I slept like a baby, but my boyfriend totally disagreed.

Friend and I stayed here for the Daytona bike week. I was skeptical at first but saw how hard Fred was trying to make improvements on his property. Rooms were freshly painted with new bathroom and beds. He was working til late some nights trying to get everything looking nice. Only complaint was that cleaning gal failed to sweep floor.||When Fred saw this he quickly grabbed a broom and swept it out. I would stay here again.
