Ash River Campground

Just a beautiful place to stay on the river, cabins look fresh and cozy, yard well kept, docks maintained. A bit of an idle to get to Kabetogama.

Small campground with limited sites and tons of mosquitos. I didn’t want to believe the other reviews about the mosquitos but please do not take them lightly and heed their warning. They are relentless. We were going to stay for two nights but left early because we were covered in welts from the bugs. There are two composting toilets that are clean and maintained very well and the fire rings are quite nice as well. No frills, close to primitive.

My husband and his parents just arrived back from staying here for the weekend. IT IS RUSTIC>>>yet close to the cabins other family members were staying at. All in all they had an enjoyable time..thank you for being so close to the Lodge

Spent 3 nights there last half June. Large RV’s left for at least 3 days with no occupants. Apparently that’s how you reserve a site? Meanwhile travelers coming in have no place to stay. Generators running all night. Woodcutting at 7:00 AM

Nice clean campground. We stayed here one night before heading out into the lake for a several day canoeing trip, great place to stay!!
