Melgeorge's Elephant Lake Lodge and Resort

My Dad first stayed at Melgeorges in 1959. My first visit was in 1972. I have stayed there over a hundred times and watched the transition to Steve and Carla (3rd generation) running the resort. Steve and Carla have updated and upgraded everything! The accommodations are excellent, the food is the best in the region, and the service is next level. If you are looking for a place to fish, hunt, hike, snowmobile, ATV, or other outdoor recreation- this is it!

We had such a wonderful weekend at Melgeorge's. The January weather was a combination of snow and rain with 40° temps, but our cabin (Birch) was so cozy! We went fishing for 2 days. We had late afternoon drinks on Friday at the bar with great service it was quiet. Saturday night we had appetizers and drinks with a few friends the place was packed, and service was still top-notch. From making the reservation, to checking out our whole stay was very enjoyable. The staff was helpful and friendly throughout the weekend. Being able to have our dogs was also a bonus for us! We plan to be back again! Thank You

Steve and Karla, thanks so much for the great hospitality. Your whole family was so helpful and caring! Our large fun -loving group was impressed by the whole experience. All of the food was excellent, the Walleye dinner was a standout! We could really tell the Voyagers ATV club puts in hours in care and maintenance on the trails. So glad they are willing to share the good times we all had!

We stayed in the Tamarack cabin on a family fishing trip. The cabin has everything you would need to cook all meals; pots, pans, cookware, grill, utensils. Fishing and atmosphere was amazing. Service at the bar and restaurant exceptional. Trivia night was lots of fun and the staff was helpful and personable.

Amazing staff, excellent food. Showed up with 12 people on side by sides,. Absolutely the best experience ever. View and decor stunning.
