Ash Trail Lodge

Hamel Sno Runners stayed at Ash Trail Lodge for our annual club trip. it was fabulous as always. The cabins are warm, clean and cozy. The kitchen is outfitted with good dishes, kettles, etc. and it isn't the cheap stuff! I made cookies for the guys on the cookie sheets and the cookies were perfect! Steaks on Saturday were great as always. The sugar cookie shots were tasty. Deb, Steve, and the staff are great hosts. Hamel Sno Runners love Ash Trail Lodge!

This loge has a long standing historic reputation for its family owned & run business. We are always treated like family & they go above & beyond to make your stay the best. Grounds & cabins are well cared for and reasonably priced. The dinning room is phenomenal when in season, along with a full bar. The property is beautiful and river views spectacular. All access to boat rentals & gateway to Minnesota's National Park, The Voyagair is an x-tra bonus. Steve & Deb are the best host & hostess, I've met in years...Worth the trip for time away, recreation, fishing, hunting or a gathering for family events.

Had a fantastic Labor Day experience here! From the hospitality that Deb and Steve showed to the cute cabin that we stayed in, I would return back to this place any chance I get! The Prime Rib dinner on Saturday night was something like we have never had before! Home cooked, the meat was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were incredible and the salad was one of the best I have ever had! If you are looking for a 5* resort, look no further! I had nothing but the most incredible experience and would recommend this place to anyone looking to experience Voyageurs National Park/Ash River!

Ash Trail lodge is one of my all time favorite resorts. Owners Steve and Deb go the extra mile to make sure your stay is great! The cabins are what you would expect for a traditional Minnesota resort, comfortable, well stocked, homey with that 'up north' feel. Great food in the lodge which is always fun and inviting.

I went here for a class reunion. It is very rare, fairly basic. Upkept quite well. Not super fancy but typical of a resort in in northern Minnesota. The staff is friendly. The food in the restaurant is much better than average. It's a fairly quiet, nice place to stay for a reasonable price. I certainly recommend it for a Minnesota relaxation and or fishing vacation.
