Angelina Lakeside Inn

On Christmas Eve, our car overheated and became hazardous on a busy road. We had children and an elderly woman with us, and this motel was the only lit place for miles. While we ran to get coolant for my parents, the woman working the front desk repeatedly came outside to harass us, telling us to leave—despite the fact that only one car was parked and we were not blocking traffic. The complete lack of compassion, basic humanity, or common decency was shocking—especially given the circumstances and the holiday. If this is how people in distress are treated here, I can’t imagine how guests are treated. Based on both the behavior and the appearance of the property, I wouldn’t let a roach stay here.

I'm not sure what the place looks like on the inside but it reminded me of The Bates Motel. We broke down and pulled off the road at this location. The owner came out and was super rude to us. Now mind you it's 830 on Christmas Eve. We are alldressed and in heels. Just not a very nice lady!! She said we were blocking her traffics now mind you. THERE WAS NO. TRAFFIC!!! We are not at the ritz!!! Merry Christmas to you and know this is literally on you and Jesus!!!

Old school motel on US 27, just off the turnpike. The room looked to have been remodeled at some point. The non-smoking room was very clean, and the price for 1 night was very reasonable. I felt safe staying here, as the motel is kind of out in the country, away from any urban chaos. Maria checked me in. She is a nice lady. I'll most definitely stay here again when I'm in the area!

Very rude owner her name is Sonia. Rooms were dirty electric didn't work in most of the outlets in the rooms. The shower water barely runs. The plumbing always backed up and Sonia blamed us. Terrible place.

No-one in office when I arrived. When I called the number on the door, I was told that she'd be right out. When she appeared in front of another building, she began yelling questions and demands from 50 yards away. This interaction already had me feeling unwelcome. Throughout the night, sleep was difficult due to the fact that bugs were trying to steal the blankets. When I attempted to bring this information to the attention of the wonderful woman of the night before, she demanded that I show her bugs. Unfortunately, I failed to put them in a keepsake container and opted to flush any that I had terminated. Don't stay here. It's dirty, and unfriendly.
