AmeriVu Inn & Suites- Hayward/Super8

My review is based on the VALUE this establishment afforded me. *The rooms were both exceptionally CLEAN; *The furnishings included a real coffee maker, a refrigerator and a microwave at no additional charge; *The furnishings were quite servicable & there were plenty of linens; *Within 1 block: a full-service grocery and gas station (at which I bought my nonresident WI fishing license), as well as a local family restaurant. *The A/C worked flawlessly. *A swimming pool and sauna is clean and well maintained. *The staff is courteous and helpful. Again, I feel that for the fee I paid, this is a perfect place for me to stay while taking advantage of the Hayward area. I

We were greeted very nicely. When told that our room was on the 2nd floor, I said oh no. The desk clerk gave us a very nice room on the 1st floor. It was very clean and had a 2 person jacuzzi tub. No complaints from us. We didn't try the pool or hot tub, but we saw others using them.

Completely awful. Stayed here in July 2022 as it's a convenient location and used to be a decent hotel. Hotel is very dirty and outdated. There is no breakfast as advertised, no coffee either. Room was pretty dreary and barely serviceable. Hair dryer had a broken plug which I found AFTER using it, thankfully I was not hurt. Staff was never available and we had to ask multiple times for clean towels and toilet paper (room was never cleaned and we stayed over a week). Pool was freezing cold but at least it worked (hot tub worked too). Way too overpriced for what you get.

Rooms are dated but clean. We were able to get the jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi was clean and worked, though we couldn't get hot water in it, just warm. No microwave or phone in the room for some reason. Pool area looked a bit intimidating and dark. Pool itself is freezing, not heated at all! The building is old, so the soundproofing isn't as good as at other hotels I've been at. Ceiling creaked from other guests walking. Our door had a broken sliding latch. Even though they advertised for continental breakfast online and on their hotel info binder in the room itself, there was none. It's supposed to be served from 6-9am. Went out at 7:30 and nothing. If they're short staffed, I can understand suspending that service, but they didn't tell me so at check in. For me that drops them from a

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is extremely poorly managed and has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. When I pulled in, it was poorly lit and obviously under construction with the manager’s family treating it like their personal living/dining room. It smelled like old food and smoke, and no one bothered to greet me. Then, when I managed to get someone’s attention, they told me my reservation was canceled. I informed them that was incorrect because I hadn’t received any communication stating the reservation was canceled and they basically told me that was my problem and to find another place to stay. Absolutely no effort to make any concessions or help on their part means I will NEVER stay here or encourage anyone else to stay here. They do not deserve our business!
