Americas Best Value Inn Covered Wagon Crescent City

Check in was quick and easy. Staff friendly. Room was clean. Working microwave and fridge (which is why we selected this available room). Very important for budget-minded travelers. Enjoyed the shower but would have appreciated a real bath towel. The towels provided were adequate, though. The bed was comfortable. Pillows not so much. It was quite warm (no a.c. which is common on the coast). We could get it tolerable opening the windows but then we'd have to breathe smoke. The whole parking lot smelled and looked like an ashtray. Served a continental breakfast from 7-9 a.m. We didn't partake.

The location was convenient. The rooms are older and a little out-dated, but looked and smelled clean, even though pets are allowed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The tv was small and breakfast very basic, but fine. The service was fine too. I think it was a very good value overall.

The staff was respectful and the hotel is definitely dated but the room was clean and the price was acceptable. There isn't much for breakfast. I didn't eat the but i checked it out before leaving. I saw cereal, bread, muffins cut in half and coffee. My room did not have a mini fridge so had I stayed longer I wouldn't have chosen this hotel. I'm sure they do have rooms with the fridge but I'm also sure they are more costly. If I'm going to pay more I'd like to have different accommodations.

Best Value inn was Amazing.. it may be old school like but worth it!!!! me and my whole entire family I mean theres a lot of us that visit Crescent city and they got us right in 8 bed rooms to be exact. and they did an amazing job!!!! Mrs. Linda And Mr.Lee were amazing lovely couple. Always so joyful and the customer services were great as well. when we need coffee or new towels or blankets they got right to it.. were definitely coming back here!!!!!! our rooms were always cleaned we always had service when we needed or when we were out of our rooms.

Our room had an awful smell. When we brought in someone from the reception desk, she said we must have very sensitive nose!!!! I was tired after driving ~14 hours and stopped arguing. Fortunately I had pretty good sleep and in the morning the smell was gone. The breakfast was good. But I found another patron complaining about mold in their room, which another lady at the reception did not take very well. I guess you get what you pay for.
